Brett Favre, seen here exhaling his soul moments before stepping off Lambeau Field for the last time.
Brett Favre announced he will remain in retirement, thus increasing his odds of winning a Superbowl over playing with the Vikings. When asked why, Favre replied, "At least this way I know there's a chance. If I had actually played for the Vikings, I would have given up any hope of winning it all."
"At least we can go into the season already feeling defeated instead of waiting for the playoffs," stated Vikings Head Coach and underachievement savant Brad Childress. "It's good to know where you stand. This just feels right." Minnesota Vikings fans were disappointed to hear the news, a state of being they are intimately familiar with.
