Hilarious Site Demographics (Site News #2)

Hello, loyal readers.  I posted a Facebook status update last night about something, and I've had some responses and questions about it.

So, part of my hosting package with Squarespace is access to site analytics.  I can view statistics about what pages are being viewed, where traffic is coming from, etc.  On of the most interesting statistics is a cross section of search queries that have led to people visiting this site.

Most people who visit by way of search are using the query "Caleb McEwen," which makes sense froma logic standpoint, although I have no idea why anyone with anysemblance of a life would ever be doing a search on my name.  A handful of others are using the query "calebmcewen.com," which is strange.  If you knew the site name was calebmcewen.com, why wouldn't you just navigate directly to calebmcewen.com rather than searching for it, the clicking on a link to the exact same location?

There have been a few others, too.  One person got here when they did a Digg search on "dolphin."  Another got here by Googling "Alex Rodriguez Steroids."  But my favorite was someone who arrived at this site after Googling "Transexuals in Tijuana."

Excellent.  I'm finally getting traction with my target demographic.  Obviously, Google directed them here because of this story.  Either that, or Google has some very advanced search algorithm that knows far more about his site than I do.

So, welcome one and all to CalebMcEwen.com--a site built on your disappointment.

The site continues to evolve and change.  Please let me know if there is anything I can improve or things you would like to see.  Feel free to comment or ask questions, and please refer friends to the site if you think they would enjoy it.  You can use the buttons below to do so.  I plan to expand the entertainment offerings here in the coming months.

Thanks for reading!
