Site News #1
Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 8:50PM Hello, loyal readers. I want to thank all of you for visiting this site over the week or so that it has been in existence. I thought I would give you all a little info concerning what this site is and where it is going.
1. This site is still under construction.
Although I've gotten a lot accomplished in the first week, there is a lot more that I want to accomplish. I've managed to migrate a lot of content from other servers while adding fresh material, but many of the pages are still awaiting construction. Others are configured in a temporary way as I try to figure out how to best present them. I'll get it all done as soon as I can, but I imagine it will be a work in progress for some time.
2. I am still figuring out the ads, and I ask you to bear with me.
I decided to try integrating Google AdSense from the beginning, and I am figuring it out as I go. As a result, you will see ads moved/reconfigured a lot as I adjust the code to try to make them effective without overpowering the site. In the meantime, enjoy watching some of the ridiculous ads that pop up in association with some of the blog entries. Tours of the Holy Land next to the 5 Signs of the Apocalypse post is one of my favorites. I've also enjoyed the Asian Girls for Love and Marriage next to my review of a Korean movie in the On Asian Entertainment post. If you have a favorite that pops up for you, please let me know in the comment section. I am planning a post on it later as I watch it devleop.
3. If you have suggestions, please let me know by commenting.
Let me know what you're thinking. It can be about anything--content suggestions, criticism, site structure ideas, etc. My goal is to make this an enjoyable experience for those visit. The only way I'll know if it's working is if I hear from you.
4. If you like the site, please consider subscribing to it.
You can subscribe to the RSS Feed by clicking on the awesome little Blog Home RSS button in the upper left of every page. It's just that simple. Then you'll be notified any time there is a new post, and you won't have to waste time checking back waiting for something new.
5. If you really like the site, share it with friends or on the various social networks.
Again, its simple. All you have to do is click on the Share button in the upper left. Then you can email it or link to the site on your Facebook, Digg or other network profile. In addition, I've been including a similar button at the bottom of each blog entry. Obviously, traffic helps me out and will eventually lead to more new material. I appreciate your support.
Thanks again for visiting. I'll try to keep you up to date on what's going on as the site develops. Until next time, enjoy!
