A Tiny, Drunken Man
Monday, July 16, 2007 at 11:26PM My son, Isaac, started walking last Thursday. It was just a few steps--nothing major. Four days later there is some copious walking going on. He's moving.
Now, he's not a "good" walker yet. He wobbles and occasionally has to do the sumo leg lift thing (shiko) to avoid disaster. He's like a tiny drunkard. I imagine much of his life parallels that of a drunkard. Such as:
1. He often wakes up in places with no idea how he got there.
2. He sometimes pukes in public.
3. His driving is erratic and dangerous.
The dog is no longer safe in any way, shape or form. Isaac is now able to full-on tackle her, and he does so mercilessly on multiple occasions every day. I can't say I mind. The dog is not particularly popular with me lately. If she were my Prime Minister rather than my pet, I would issue a vote of no confidence. Isaac's attacks on the dog are karmic payback for the fact that she's basically a four-legged jerk. I don't know if a dog can be a jerk or not, but if one can, mine is. Go Isaac.
